Valor is a competitive girls flag football organization serving the Temecula and Murrieta area. We are a club-level program — a step above recreational leagues — focused on high-level skill development, tournament competition, and preparing athletes for the next stage of their flag football journey, including high school rosters and beyond. Our training emphasizes position-specific skill work, football IQ, competitive accountability, and mental toughness in a true performance environment.
Valor currently fields teams at the HS, 14U and 12U levels. Division placement is based on the athlete's age as of August 1st. 12U includes athletes 12 and under; 14U includes athletes 13–14 as of that date.
Playing up is possible for athletes who demonstrate the skill and physical readiness to compete safely at the higher level, at the coaching staff's discretion. Playing down is not permitted.
There is no formal experience requirement, but Valor is a competitive program and roster spots are earned through evaluation. Most rostered athletes have prior flag football or competitive sports experience. For athletes who aren't roster-ready yet, a Valor developmental pathway is currently in development — ask us for details.
Roster spots are earned through tryouts. Tryouts for the 12U and 14U divisions will be held on August 9th and August 16th.
Athletes who miss the official tryout dates can contact us to arrange a practice evaluation as a guest player.
Teams are formed by age division. If registration numbers allow, Valor will field A and B rosters within a division so that every selected athlete competes at the level that best fits her development.
Athletes not selected are encouraged to keep developing and return for a future evaluation. A Valor developmental pathway for pre-roster athletes is in development, and our staff is happy to recommend local programs where your daughter can build experience in the meantime.
Cleats (no metal spikes), a mouthguard, water, and athletic wear. No prior affiliation with Valor is needed — just come ready to compete.
The club season kicks off in late October, with younger divisions beginning practices earlier to get a jump-start on competition. The regional tournament circuit begins in November, league play runs November through March, and tournament season peaks in February heading into the biggest events of the year. 14U athletes playing school flag football will be integrated as their high school seasons conclude.
Teams typically practice one to two times per week, with optional skills sessions available.
Valor targets one to two tournaments per month during the season, competing in 5v5 and 7v7 formats. Events are primarily within Southern California. Overnight travel is not expected.
Competitive rosters are small, and every athlete matters. Consistent attendance at practices and tournaments is expected, and repeated unexcused absences will affect playing time. Please communicate any conflicts to your coach in advance.
HS Team: $1350, (November - May: 6 months x $225)
Youth Team: $1575 (October - May: 7 months x $225)
Fees cover coaches salaries, supplemental coaching sessions (speed, agility, strength), facility use, liability insurance, and other administrative costs.
Our financial model is adopted from some of the top organizations in the sport. We are building VALOR for long-term stability. Coaches that are compensated for their time will continue to multiply their investment. Families that are invested embrace commitment and build trust shoulder-to-shoulder. An organization that is invested will fight for consistency in development over accolages or prestige.
10-month payment plans are available and can be selected at registration with no prior approval needed. Limited needs-based scholarships may be available upon request.
Uniform costs are separate from program fees and typically run $150–$200. Families should also budget for personal gear (cleats, mouthguard, optional receiver gloves) and day-of-tournament travel costs: entry feeds, gas, and meals.
Cleats (no metal spikes), a mouthguard, and athletic practice wear. Receiver gloves are optional but common. Game uniforms and flags are coordinated through Valor.
Uniforms are purchased separately from program fees, typically $150–$200. Details and sizing will be provided at the start of the season.
Valor's coaching staff brings current, high-level girls flag football experience:
Coach Kyle LeVier — Head Coach, Linfield Christian Girls Flag Football
Coach Tate Hess — Head Coach, Chaparral High School Girls Flag Football; Boys Football Assistant Coach
Valor is a competitive club, not a recreational league. Playing time is earned through practice performance, effort, and attendance. Every athlete on the roster will be developed and coached hard, but equal playing time is not guaranteed — especially in tournament bracket play.
Coaches determine positions based on each athlete's skill set and team needs, supported by position-specific training. Athletes often develop at multiple positions across the 5v5 and 7v7 formats.
Absolutely — that pathway is central to why Valor exists. Girls flag football is now a CIF-sanctioned high school sport in California, flag football debuts as an official Olympic sport at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, and college opportunities are growing every year. Valor's 12U and 14U programs are designed to prepare athletes to compete for high school roster spots and to keep advancing from there. With head coaches from two local high school programs on staff, our athletes train with a clear picture of what the next level demands.
On-time arrivals, positive sideline conduct — cheer for effort, and leave the coaching to the coaches — and timely communication of absences or conflicts. Healthy competitive athletic organizations require parent buy-in to the mission and values of the organization.
All team communication — schedules, practice updates, tournament logistics — runs through the BAND app. Families will be added upon committing to a roster spot.

Flag football is non-contact by design, and Valor takes athlete safety seriously. Our coaching staff is NFHS certified, inclusive of concussion protocols, and all coaches are CPR certified. Hydration, heat, and weather guidelines are followed at all practices and events.
Coaches are background checked and NFHS certified coaches. They are held to the high standards of integrity and professional behavior at all times.
A non-refundable deposit is due upon accepting a roster spot. Families who withdraw before the first official team practice receive a full refund minus the deposit. Withdrawals within the first two weeks of the season receive a 50% refund; no refunds are issued after that point. If an athlete suffers a season-ending injury documented by a physician, Valor will issue a prorated credit toward a future season. Uniform costs are non-refundable once ordered, and tournament entry fees already paid to event organizers cannot be refunded.
